We’re sorry, but based on the information you provided to us, it appears that your case does not meet our current case criteria. It appears that your case falls into one of the following categories of cases that we do not handle:
- Cases against judges, prosecutors, governmental entities, expert witnesses, the court system, or cases against attorneys other than your former attorney.
- Cases that originated from criminal cases, immigration cases, worker’s compensation cases, bankruptcy cases, or non-property-division family law cases (i.e., we don’t take custody, contempt, or modification malpractice cases).
- Cases with economic damage models of less than $200,000. An economic damage model means actual economic loss to you of less than $200,000. Economic damages do not include emotional damages.
- Cases against lawyers licensed in states other than Texas, unless the economic damage model exceeds $500,000.
- Cases that are still pending. You must already have a final judgment or settlement agreement, with no pending motions or appeals. We do not give advice on pending matters.
- Cases where you learned of or knew about your lawyer’s malpractice more than two years ago.
