Professional negligence (legal negligence), wrongful death, and serious personal injury.

We Work Hard So You Don’t Have To

Cyndi was born in Fairfax, Virginia and grew up in West Texas. Cyndi obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas, graduating in 1993. In 1997, she received her J.D. from the South Texas College of Law. Cyndi began practice with Jimmy Williamson in 1998 but left to serve as a domestic violence prosecutor from 2002-2005.

While serving as a prosecutor, Cyndi served on the Board of the Angelina Alliance for Children Child Advocacy Center, which is a non-profit center dedicated to interviewing and serving child victims of sexual and/or physical abuse, minimizing their trauma through a team approach in a child friendly environment. In 2005, she returned to Williamson & Rusnak. In 2012 Cyndi was admitted to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and also recently admitted to the Association of National Women Trial Lawyers.

In 2005, Cyndi returned to the Houston area to work with her long-time legal mentor, Jimmy Williamson, where they worked together as Williamson & Rusnak, representing plaintiffs at the civil trial and appellate levels, specializing in serious personal injury and professional negligence cases.

In 2022, Cyndi joined Sears Crawford, LLP to work with her former Partner, Ross Sears at his firm specializing in serious personal injury and professional negligence.
During her free time, for over a decade, Cyndi volunteered as the Secretary for the Board of Directors of the Sean Ashley House, a volunteer organization created to provide residential housing and day rehabilitation services to help children and adults with autism spectrum disorders.

For over three years Cyndi also served as the Parliamentarian, President and Major Mom for her daughter’s high school drill team booster club, the Klein Bearkadette Booster Club. Cyndi also served for two years as the VP Young Men’s Coordinator for the mother and son volunteer service organization, Young Men’s Service League – where she was one of the founding members who created the new chapter in 2020.

Cyndi is the proud mother of 18-year-old twins who recently graduated high school and who will attend Texas Tech University and Tarleton State University in the Fall of 2022.
